Lagar el Altozano

The Finca Lagar el Altozano is the right place to spend some unforgettable days in the countryside of the Spanish region Extremadura. Built in 1898, it was transformed into a beautiful country house in a unique environment in 2020. It can accommodate up to 10 people and has all the necessary features for a relaxing vacation.

The location in the middle of the Sierra de los Lagares with its vineyards and olive groves, allows views of spectacular sunsets. The finca itself was also used in the past for the production of wine and oil, as still witnessed by the original wine barrels in the cellar. The estate has a vineyard and olive grove, as well as a vegetable garden and even a chicken coop, which are used depending on the season.

You have the whole house to yourself to relax in the best possible way. It has 6 double bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 1 separate toilet, 2 kitchens and 2 living rooms. The kitchens are very well equipped with refrigerator and freezer as well as dishwasher and stove, oven and microwave. To cool down in the Spanish summer, there is a private swimming pool and air conditioning in all rooms. In winter, on the other hand, firewood for the fireplace is provided. There is also a washing machine and iron, Wi-Fi, as well as a welcome basket on the first day. The first breakfast is included in the price. Especially pleasant is the late check-out until 5 pm from the day of departure. Pets are not allowed and smoking is only allowed outside in the yard.

The country house is located in the so-called area "Las Viñas" or "Pago de San Clemente" in Trujillo, only 12 km from the city. It is the perfect starting point for excursions to Cáceres, Monfragüe, Guadalupe or Mérida. The nature is very suitable for extensive walks and bird watching too.
