Staying at Casa de Santiago is like traveling in time whilst being able to enjoy the comfort of the 21st century with its unique details, exclusive experiences and unforgettable moments. This small charming hotel and home combine an amazing location, in the heart of Alentejo, with a beautiful historical building to create a unique place on the coast. There is true living history within the wall of this noble house and, after having inherited the house from their parents, the two brothers, José Duarte and Francisco Lobo de Vasconcellos, decided to build a unique bed and breakfast and developed the “Casa de Santiago” project.

The spacious rooms are all fully equipped and perfectly decorated to suit the style of the building. There are various living rooms in the Casa de Santiago, each individually designed. The Reading Room is, for example, the perfect place to lay back and enjoy an interesting book or just relax. For many guests, the gardens are a little highlight of the property. You can have an evening cocktail and relax under the gigantic araucaria tree, enjoy a swim in the heated swimming pool, have a barbecue with a nice view of the church and the castle, and much more.

The location and natural environment are definitely a major advantage of the Casa de Santiago. It’s the perfect spot for so many exciting activities: surfing, diving, trekking, cycling, horse-riding, motocross, hunting, and fishing, exploring the historical center of Santiago de Cacém, trying of traditional sweets and delicious restaurants - just pick your favorite things to do!
