Domaine Saint Hilaire

Dreamy and rural – that is how the Domaine Saint Hilaire looks on the first sight. The award winning wine domaine, between Beziers and Sète is surrounded by 70 acres of vineyards and exists since the 1800s. However completely renovated the buildings and interiors still breathe the atmosphere of 1817 when Baron Reynaud Hilaire, a local celebrity and illustrious hero and general in Napoleons Grande Armée, lived here.  

After receiving several awards for the high wine-quality, the owners decided to expand their vineyard with elegant guest rooms. And just like their wine, also these rooms have the highest quality and are truly something special. Each room is designed in a different style, which gives them a certain something.

The house can only be rented in exclusivity and on a self-catering basis. The rooms have en-suite bath or shower rooms with waterfall showers. In addition, they come with air conditions, heaters, shavers, hair dryers, and Simmons Beauty-rest mattresses, which are elected by the many luxury hotels. Furthermore, soft white towels, cotton silk blankets, bathrobes and daily maid service are included.

In the morning you can prepare a delicious breakfast in the full equipped kitchen which you can enjoy afterwards in the beautiful garden or dining area. Also, a cinema room, library, living room with piano and access to the 200 year old park, which invites you to stroll and linger.  Enjoy the birds and cicadas, which like to tune to evening concerts. 

Behind the private infinity pool and the garden, you can let your gaze wander through the pine interspersed environment and vineyards. A member of the wine team is happy to show you around the winery and of course have you try our award winning wines. Choose your favorite one and enjoy it in the evening sun at one of the terraces with a famous seafood platter from the Etang du Thau or an assiette gourmande.

Except in July and August the house can be rented for part of a week; at this time it is also possible to rent only one wing with 3 bedrooms instead of the full 6.

For those interested in wine and wine-making we offer the possibility of house rental from late August to early October in combination with a harvest experience.
