IKIES Santorini

Santorini here we come! If ever there was a picture postcard place in Greece this area of Santorini is it and the Ikies is at the epicentre of it.
It truly is a singular type of hotel. Located in the village of Oia, in northern Santorini, it is seemingly carved onto the rocks of the island, the views it affords of the area are gob smacking and just a fifteen minute walk brings you to the centre of town with all its shops, bars and restaurants.
The thing about it is that it ticks all the right boxes in terms of exceptional location, traditional design and warmth and sheer physical beauty. Mix this in with its small size (11 rooms in total) and you get a rare place to stay full of intimate but discreet ambiance.
The hotel’s traditional architectural is the basis of the place. Onto this are added the layers and full range of modern comforts and facilities  - so you get traditional with modern in equal measure.
From the singular breakfast served on your personal terrace to the afternoon turndown service while you sip at a sundowner, the staff’s attention to your every need and desire will make you feel pampered and relaxed. Ikies’ staff will ensure that everything and anything is taken care for you.
All the houses offer air conditioning, a safe deposit box, flat screen satellite TV, movie box, iPhone docking station, hairdryer, and bathrobes and slippers. In addition, most of the rooms also have a private temperature controlled Jacuzzi on the personal terrace and the honeymoon suites also have a steam room.
The hotel has a small pool located at the lowest level, a reception area at the highest level, and a parking area close to the entrance (100 meters). There is also a complete concierge services [car rentals, boat excursions, wine tours, restaurant recommendations, etc], laundry service, twice daily maid service, and a light fare menu throughout the day. In 2021 they launched the new In Room Private Dining Service, which gives guests the opportunity to enjoy a tantalizing Greek with a Twist menu, at the comfort of their private terrace while at the same time enjoying the amazing views of Oia Sunset and the Caldera.

Basically the hotel is made up of studios, suites and maisonettes.

Note: IKIES is built on the caldera cliff with a considerable amount of steps (95 from the entrance to the pool area) around the property. The low perimeter walls and sudden drops along the crater are quite dangerous for small children and people with moving difficulties. Accordingly, it is not able to accept children under 13 years old.
