Il Carosello dei Baroni

The history of Il Carosello dei Baroni country resort reaches back a long, long way. It was built on the site of an ancient monastery in 1451 and then razed to the ground by the great earthquake that destroyed ancient Noto in 1693.
If only the place could talk, those stone walls would have a tale to tell. Il Carosello has been transformed into an up to date country house mixing the old with new design, family pieces from years past with vanguard gadgets. Such contrasts when done well, as in the case of the Il Carosello dei Baroni, are always a welcome sight. This is especially so in the bedrooms, where contemporary comforts and tastes mix with Sicilian antiques and artefacts. Most of the rooms also have the added bonus of simply great views over the Alveria estate – all nineteen hectares of it.
