The Granite House

Welcome to The Granite House. Even though it's not directly on the magical beaches of the Algarve (40 minutes away), it has an incredible amount to offer. If you appreciate authentic, relaxing places surrounded by nature, then this place is for you.

Perched on a high plateau, The Granite House is part of an estate that includes three houses. The cosy stone house with the unforgettable view is meant for you.

Perfect for couples who value their privacy, the property is especially designed for adults. Small families with children from the age of 12 are still welcome as the house sleeps up to four persons.

It's not just from the outside that the property looks like an absolute eye-catcher, it's the simple yet tasteful interior design. The ground floor is furnished with a modern and well-equipped kitchen, as well as a classic bathroom with plaster walls. But the highlight is in the living room: iconic 1976 Nodo chairs, designed by Mauro Pasquinelli, the 'The Rock' sofa by Gerard van den Berg and the vintage Moon lamp, created by Verner Panton - an incredible design interplay that gives the living room an artistic and refined feeling.  For extra guests, the cosy Japanese futon outside the door can be used as an additional sleeping option. 

If you follow the proud oak staircase to the top, you will find a whole new highlight: an inviting bedroom with gabled roof, equipped with a king-size bed and practical storage space for comfort and spaciousness.

To make you feel comfortable in any season, the house is equipped with underfloor heating and a cozy wood stove for the winter, as well as air conditioning on both floors for the summer.

Looking for a place to enjoy nature in peace? You only have to open the door to do that, because the outdoor area holds what it promises. A private pool (3m x 2m), a sunny wooden terrace with sun loungers and parasols - everything the heart desires. Nothing stands in the way of an unforgettable sunset with magical bird chirping.

But the estate, built of natural stone, has much more to offer than just greenery. Local markets selling fresh fruit, handmade cheeses and local wines are eagerly awaiting your visit, as are the golden beaches and impressive cliffs of the Atlantic coast. So what are you waiting for?

The Local brand 8950 Cosmética works with natural ingredients and is free of microplastics, making it the ideal eco-friendly bath products for your stay. A stroll through the aromatic herb garden and orchards of lemons, oranges and Monchique's famous pear apple along the beautiful vineyards is an absolute must. Hiking and cycling trails as you explore new landscapes will also quench your thirst for adventure.
