Thanks to its stunning location sat on the hill above Livadi bay, guests can overlook the endless blue of the Aegean Sea, Aghios Vassilios beach and the capital Chora with its Venetian castle from the private terrace of each suite.

What is also very interesting is the origin story behind the name of the hotel: "Saluti Da Stampalia" means "Hello from Astypalea" in Italian. This line comes from a postcard that the owners Virginia and Roussos found and that an Italian soldier living on Astypalea in the 1920s sent to his family in Italy. The Italian influence on the island's history began as early as the 12th century when Venice occupied the Aegean islands. When Virginia and Roussos saw the message on the postcard, they felt it summed up so many elements of their philosophy. The "Saluti" is the first gesture towards a friend, a guest, a new acquaintance. The first sentence in the morning and the last in the evening.
