Located in one of Lisbon’s most stylish neighborhoods - the Janelas Verdes - the Palacio Ramalhete is, first and foremost, a beautiful example of 18th-century Portuguese architecture, where all original features have been preserved to maintain what we consider to be an ageless charm.

This “old worldliness”, for want of a better word, hasn’t precluded an extensive renovation to turn the Palácio Ramalhete into an utterly enchanting place to stay. Care has been taken at every stage of rebuilding to maintain the original appeal of the place and this effort has been worth it.

Indeed, the whole raison d’être of the Palácio Ramalhete is to offer guests a traditional taste of a Portugal of bygone days combined with comfort and modern luxuries. It effortlessly succeeds in this.

The 12 rooms and suites all have unique features, names, and motifs. No standard doubles or nameless suites. The garden courtyard is also an oasis of peace as it magically protects guests from the hustle of Lisbon’s narrow and colorful streets.

Of course, you can also just lounge by the pool, tan on the sundeck, have a drink in the bar, relax in the ample common areas or just enjoy the sanctuary of your oversized room.
