Hermitage Castelo - Casa Saint Jorge

Casa Saint Jorge is the ideal starting point for an exploration of the Portuguese capital. After you have made the steep climb through thousand-year-old Alfama up to the Castelo São Jorge, you will be rewarded with a magnificent view over the whole city and the river Tejo - and of course the fantastically beautiful sunsets behind the famous bridge 25 de Abril.

Your apartment is located in the old citadel of the Lisbon Castle. The building was completely restored in the summer of 2020 and now houses seven comfortable holiday flats that offer space for two to four people. All have an equipped kitchenette and some even have a balcony or terrace. With their modern yet elegant furnishings, they invite you to relax after an exciting day of sightseeing and are just as suitable for working away from the office at home.

The architecture of this historic district dates back to the 12th century. Alfama is therefore a very interesting location for your accommodation if you want to experience authentic Lisbon first hand. Nevertheless, you can reach the lively city centre with its great number of restaurants, bars and shops on foot or by public transport in just a few minutes.

Despite the proximity to the city centre, you will have a relaxing night at Casa Saint Jorge. The area around the old castle is the most visited in Lisbon, but it is pleasantly quiet here in the evenings. However, it might be difficult to find a parking space here, luckily there are some public car parks nearby. The hosts will be happy to give you advice.
