Bay of Kvarn
The Kvarner Bay is a part of the inner coastal waters of Croatia and is located in the centre of the northern Adriatic Sea, between the island of Istria and the Croatian mainland. The bay consists of coastal towns like Rijeka, Opatija and Crikvenica and the islands of Krk, Cres, Lošinj and Rab. The special feature of the area is its diversity, characterised by picturesque islands, densely covered mountain ranges and endless coastal beaches. A mild, wind-protected climate, many hours of sunshine a year and the flowering vegetation attract many tourists to the beautiful bathing bay.
