The Domaine de Verchant's origins date back to the 16th century – when given by the Bishop of Montpellier to the Verchant family, hence its name – so bear this in mind: every nook and corner of the state can tell you a rich and vivid story if you are willing to listen.

Nonetheless, it wouldn't be the splendid 5 star luxury hotel and spa it is today if it weren't for Chantal and Pierre Mestre, the current owners, and all the effort and passion they put in the project. For over five years they renovated this unique space in the very heart of a vineyard, turning it into a sublime and intimate sanctuary. The perfect place to relax and disconnect.

It boasts 26 luxurious apartments, rooms and suites – with sizes from 30 to 90 m2 – that display a delicate blend between traditional architecture and modern design, and hold cutting edge amenities. The hotel holds two different restaurants: the Verchant, with outstanding views of the outdoor pool and the grounds, where you can enjoy the delicious cuisine of Damien Cousseau, their chef, that will delight you with their seasonal menus with a remarkable emphasis on regional products – vegetarian choices included. And La Plage dans les Vignes, a true oasis among the vines where to taste wonderful southern French cuisine or enjoy a drink at the bar after a dip in the pool.

But the true gem of the property is the fantastic spa, a 2,000 m2 space of bliss located at the very heart of the state's vineyard. Here you will discover an astonishing garden-level indoor pool – equipped with a countercurrent swim system – and many other facilities such as Turkish bath, saunas, relaxation room, experience showers or Jacuzzi. You can also enjoy the gym and fitness area, and all the top Technogym equipment you will find there.
