Casa Fajara

Casa Fajara is located in Carrapateira on the South West Coast of the Algarve approximately an hour and a half from Faro and an hour from Lagos. Beautifully set in a tranquil valley of The Costa Vicentina Natural Park and close to the spectacular Bordeira and Amado beaches. Casa Fajara makes a wonderful venue to, rest, renew & recharge where all you can hear is the sea, cow bells & birds. 

Just down the track you will find the village of Carrapateira, here people live in the traditional way, working the land, fishing and cattle herding. It is well served by a minimarket, café, restaurants, surf and bicycle rental. Casa Fajara has been restored to provide “barefoot luxury” where guests can comfortably relax and feel at home. Within the secluded grounds we have a Garden Yoga room (60sqm), swimming pool (14m x 7.5m) with plunge pool, tennis court, sun terraces and lawns. Two large, versatile reception rooms (60sqm and 70sqm) have log fires and uninterrupted views across the valley and together with smaller areas if needed, can be arranged for activities, talks and demonstrations. 

Our twelve individual en suite rooms have a private balcony or terrace, internet, TV and hairdryer. Several rooms include a kitchenette for cooking light meals and snacks. Some rooms join together creating larger personal or group areas. The hotel accommodates up to thirty guests and has under floor heating and wonderful log fires for cooler months. The Garden Yoga Room is 60sqm with floor to ceiling mirrored back wall and a fully glazed wall to the front. Views across the hills draw the natural surroundings into the room inspiring natural peace and tranquillity. 20 Yoga mats and blankets and 40 Yoga bricks are provided. The private therapy room can be used for individual treatments and massages and if you would like additional practitioners for therapies and massage please ask us to include this with your quotation.

Breakfasts of fresh fruit and juices, pastries, local jams, honey and eggs can be provided or as you request with notice. We also cater for specialist diets including detox and macrobiotic. For larger groups we can arrange Pig Roasts, Fish and Seafood buffets and barbeques. We can also make recommendations and bookings for our local restaurants. 

Choose from an extensive range of activities to complement your event. We can arrange additional instruction for example detox and massage or perhaps something completely different such as surfing lessons, horse riding, foraging, guided walks, fishing, photography to name just a few.
