Domaine de Capiès

Domaine de Capiès is a place to escape to in the south of France, thirty minutes from Carcassonne. The beautiful old stone farmhouse and barns make up the collection of 4 cottages, simply but tastefully styled, with breath-taking, south-facing views over vineyards and hills. The lovely accommodation shares an amazing, 20-metre long infinity swimming pool with incredible views over the green landscape. Particularly charming are the colourful details, cosy nooks, beautiful natural light and sunny outdoor seating areas. There is a peaceful woodland area with hammocks, a big trampoline in the play-area, chickens, a vegetable garden and stunning walks from the doorstep. Capiès is in the middle of the countryside, surrounded by beauty, space and wildlife, the perfect place to disconnect and enjoy nature and calmness. Please note that there are no shops within easy walking distance!

The cottages are simple in design and all have equipped kitchens, Wi-Fi, private BBQ and private terraces, comfortable king-sized beds and organic soaps. Each morning it is possible to buy breakfast mainly sourced from local farms to take back to your cottage: Capiès granola, fruit salad, croissants from the local boulangerie, organic fruit juice, our neighbours’ goats cheese, coffee and more.

The hosts, a friendly English couple Tilly and Will, are passionate about great local food and wine. The Barn Bar is another highlight: it is a convivial meeting place that’s perfect for pizza nights, a game of pool or a drink at the bar. Tilly also enjoys sharing her passion for cooking by preparing fresh meals using local ingredients including; Sunday Brunch, Monday-market meals and a range of delicious pool snacks. It is even possible to book the barn and farmhouse for events like weddings.
