Idyllically located in central Switzerland at Lake Lucerne and only 10 km away from the city of Lucerne, nestling between the deep blue waters of the lake and the picturesque Swiss Alps, the Boutique-Hotel Schlüssel awaits you with a wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff, exquisite dishes, a cozy wine tavern, an enchanting “Gärtli” and even a small spice shop that we can highly recommend.
The historical building dating from 1727 and used as a guesthouse since 1820 is quite an eye-catcher, and so are the 12 charming boutique rooms offering great views to Lake Lucerne and the surrounding mountain landscape.
Modern facilities and antique items go hand in hand in the Boutique-Hotel Schlüssel creating a successful mix aimed at providing you with an optimal comfort. The light and spacious rooms are all creatively and individually designed. The warm wooden floors, luxurious beds and stylish details convey a feeling of familiarity and coziness with a personal touch, while the sensuous colors and the enchanting décor envelope your senses, emphasizing the romantic atmosphere of the rooms. Free standing bathtubs (some of which with lake view!), nostalgic water taps and basins from the Belle Époque all have their share in creating this lovely ambience.
The three different room categories of the hotel correspond to three different room sizes:
Comfort: 20 sqm, equipped with large shower. No bathtub, no extra beds. This room cannot accommodate children.
Deluxe: 30-40 sqm, equipped with large shower and free standing bathtub.
Roof top suite: 50-60 sqm, Loft Suites with large shower and free standing bathtub.
All rooms are non-smoking rooms.
The rooms feature sinks, large showers, separate toilets, hair dryers, safes, LCD television, DVD/CD-players (DVDs are available in the hotel free of charge!), internet access (wireless/LAN) as well as balconies with astonishing lake and mountain views. Upon request, all beds can be arranged either as individual beds or as double beds. Two rooms can be equipped with four individual beds. Children can only be accommodated in comfort and deluxe rooms. Extra beds are also only available in these rooms.
On the guest tables on each floor you will find Amici coffee and selected teas as well as mineral water and fruit, which you can enjoy free of charge. The restaurant, rated by Gault Millau with 13 points serves a rich breakfast buffet and delicious dishes, providing a dining experience that you will remember for a long time!
Not suitable for children under 14 years. Children under 14 years have to share the room with their parents. According to the fire safety legislation the use of candles and electric irons in the rooms is strictly prohibited. We are sorry, but we cannot accept dogs.
The hotel is conveniently located near the A2/E35 highway, yet very quiet. Parking is available free of charge in front of the hotel (no garage).
The Boutique-Hotel Schlüssel provides transfers to the boat station, bus station and to the Klewenalp cable car. Mountain bike rental is also available on site.
