Madada Mogador - Essaouira
Essaouira / Essaouira / Marrocos

Madada Mogador
As we wonder along the whitewashed houses, quiet squares, art galleries and beautiful long beaches, it becomes achingly apparent that Essaouira is one of the most charming of Morocco’s Atlantic coast towns.
Smaller and more laid back then Marrakech, the likes of Jimi Hendrix and Bob Marley found it a perfect spot to unwind and absorb the mellow scene, making it a port of call, so to speak, of the hippy trail in the 1960’s.
It remains a charming and relaxing fortified seaside town to this day, with a wide range of architectural styles, blue-shuttered windows and exotic cuisine (more of that later).
All you need now is a base to enjoy the pretty unique spectacle that is Essaouira. Ladies and gentlemen, we bring you the Madada Mogador. A location to die for within the ramparts of beautiful old Essaouira and the azure seas of Morocco in abundant view one of those must stay places in Morocco.
If you don’t take our word for it, just see what guests tend to say. “Fabulous”, “Superb”, “Special”. In short, it is an effortless combination of traditional Moroccan decor with modern, streamlined, almost retro, design. The first design hotel in Essaouira is done in such a way that as soon as you pass the blue door and go up the stairs the feeling is one of utter peace and “Zen”.
With only 5 suites, all abundantly large with en-suite bathrooms featuring large ivory baths and double hand basins, there’s no chance of overcrowding either. It even smells great, with the fragrance of the fresh flowers placed carefully every day all pervading.
Who to congratulate for all this? The laurels must go to Christine Dadda who has dedicated her time and energy to making every detail a special one. Great finishes, the right furniture in the right places and delicate tones of beige and sand enhance the space to create that peaceful ambiance we’ve talked about. Then, of course, there’s the breathtaking terrace with views of the seafront to die for.
They really are special and that alone would almost make a stay here almost worthwhile, but there’s so much more on offer here than just that at the Madada Mogador. We’ll mention a couple of reasons:
The charm of Christine, who welcomes guests with wonderful hospitality and style elegant chic Morocco style. There is even the chance to try out a gastronomic workshop. The Madada has recently opened a Moroccan cooking workshop. Small groups (up to a maximum of 8 persons) are supervised by top chefs with a view to discovering the secrets of Moroccan gastronomy. A wonderful initiation into the delights of one the best cuisines in the world.
