Great Travel, Great Cuisine

If travel be the food of love, eat on.
Ok, we’re paraphrasing Shakespeare a bit here, but two of the great pleasures in life must surely be travelling and enjoying a wonderful meal. We’ve just had a brilliant thought – why not join the two together?
So with this in mind, we select below some of our favourite places to stay that not only offer wonderful accommodation but also provide pretty amazing sensations on the palatte front.
They don’t all have to be top notch and expensive, though. In fact, some of our favourite places to eat are those simple, out of the way, eateries using only fresh produce and simple recipes.
Italy

The La Locanda del Castello restaurant is a feast, so to speak, and serves up a full “A La Carte” Menu. The menu is changed regularly depending upon what inspires the Chef, the seasonal produce available and the special occasions such as the Truffle Festival around November.
Keep an eye out for special occasions such as Easter, Truffle season, Christmas, new Year and so on.
In an elegant Roman country home, Flavor of Italy offers cooking classes for individuals, groups, families, semi-professionals, students and children who would like to further their knowledge of Italian cooking, its techniques, recipes and culinary tradition.
After the visit to the market we will prepare a typical menu for a feast day, including starters and dessert; the perfect result is guaranteed and when back home you can invite your friends to an authentic Italian dinner. Santa Croce can also prepare vegetarian dishes on request.
Spain
This atmospheric place actually started off life as a restaurant specialising in the “churrasco” (grilled pork with pepper sauce) – hence the name.
Its fame expanded beyond the confines of Andalusia to become such a popular place that Rafael Rodriguez, the wonderful owner, not only expanded the restaurant but added an inn for guests to stay. Well, it’s best not to eat, drink and drive.
Thus he was able to combine three of his great loves – Córdoba, a city he utterly adores, great food and hospitality in the shape of the Hospederia El Churrasco. We'll eat and drink to that!

La Plaça is as famous in Spain for its restaurant as it is for its wonderful accommodations. You’ll soon see why if you ever combine a stay there with trying dishes such as Potatoes parmentier, with poached egg and truffle, Artichoke salad with pork loin or Wild boar with mushrooms. Just don’t go there in a hurry. All these marvelous dishes take time to prepare.
France
How does this sound? Leek and foi gras ravioli; a delicate froth of “Tuber Aestivum” truffles; Spit-roasted saddle of lamb in a herb crust, confit of sweet piquillo peppers and garlic, spicy pepper sauce; Cheese selection; Tender Madeleine biscuit and toasted coffe sabayon, dark chocolate ganache, lime ice milk
Felisa's cuisine offers simply great food on weekends ! Seasonal Provence cuisine, in all its wonderful flavours and nuances. A liitle taster, so to speak: fish cooked in salt with thyme and lemon ...
