If you want to spend a few days in one of the most beautiful cities of the world and rent an apartment, rather stay at a hotel, then there is no better option than the No 46 Prague.
No 46? No 1 more like. It’s habitually voted the number one vacation rental by guides and it is easy to see why.
It is an outstanding 19th century apartment that manages to be discreet within the stunning location of Vinohrady, Prague’s most affluent area, no less, and only a ten minute walk from the city’s best known landmark of Wenceslas Square.
As you can see from the pictures, this is also a classy accommodation, wonderfully and stylishly decorated by James and his wife Jo (interior designers and interior photographers by profession – and it shows).
Their superb taste mixes total taste with creative inspiration and total attention to detail. Interiors offers elegance and stimulation, from rustic heirlooms to the giant photographs of the stunningly beautiful city of Prague adorning its walls.
We finish as we started. No. 46 offers a fantastic base for getting to know one of the most stunning cities in the world.

The kind of place you'd like to host a cocktail party
No 46 is a beautiful apartment, making a city break a truly different experience. Hugely spacious with all the amenities you could want (including a well stocked drinks cabinet), it's the kind of place you'd like to host a cocktail party. Really well situated in a nice neighbourhood, with a number of nice local cafes and restaurants on the doorstep offering a much more real Prague experience than the tourist traps in the centre of town. The owner was hugely helpful with a few problems we had about checking-out.

Things to do in Vinohrady
Vinohrady is one of the most elegant residential neighbourhoods in Prague. During the 19th century, the landscape was covered in rose gardens, orchards and vineyards (vinohrady) running down the gentle slope towards the River Vltava and the centre of Prague.
Vinohrady is now one of the most stylish districts in the city, its broad tree-lined boulevards and colourful squares offering an exceptional array of architectural styles from Neo-Renaissance and Art Nouveau to Pseudo Baroque and Neo-Gothic. Within these doors are to be found some of the hippest and exciting cafes, bars, restaurants and clubs in Europe.
The district’s charming Riegrovy-sady and Havlíčkovy-sady parks provide a very pleasant relief from the sometimes maddening crowds of the centre. One could quite happily while away a few days just hanging out in Vinorady alone – although, of course, that would be missing the bigger picture.
The city centre is extremely easy to reach – either three metro stops on the A-line or two subway stations on Tram 11, or just an undemanding ten minute stroll through some of the most spectacular streetscapes of Prague.
Five things to do in Vinohrady
Spend a sunny evening in the beer garden in Riegrovy Sady
Have a glass of wine in the folly midst fabulous vineyards in Havlickovy Sady
Relax on a bench or on the grass, people-watching in Namesti Miru
Take a stroll up Manesova, popping into the numerous antique shops and cafés
See a play at the Vinohrady theatre in Namesti Miru
