Riad El Faris is a haven of peace and tranquillity in the heart of the Medina of Marraquesh. Mathieu, the manager, will give us a warm welcome and offer to escort us around town to reveal its hidden treasures. The rest of the staff is just as friendly and the service is impeccable. As soon as we enter the riad, we find ourselves in a patio with a garden where one can relax in front of a pool with a cup of mint tea – or a traditional Moroccan breakfast in the morning.
The accommodations include one bedroom and three suites, all with “spicy” names:
Chambre Cumin: Room in the ground floor overlooking the basin. The softness and calmness of this room will enchant you. Equipment: king size bed with alcove in tadelakt, bathroom with bathrobes, care products, hair dryers and air conditioning.
Suite Cannelle: Superb and very large suite with a fireplace. You will be impressed with the bathroom’s original decoration (dome, niches, tadelakt ...) in the best Moroccan tradition. Equipment: double bed, bathroom with tub, care products, hair dryers, bathrobes and air conditioning.
Suite Gingembre: This large suite is located in the first floor and dominates the entire patio. Equipment: double bed, shower bathroom with tadelakt, care products, bathrobes, hair dryer and air conditioning.
Suite Safran: Magnificent suite with access through terrace. The Safran is very quiet and dominates the basin. Equipment: double bed, bathroom with tub, care products, hair dryer, bathrobes, air conditioning. Common parts include a lovely terrace, the patio, a dining room and a cosy living room with TV satellite and Internet access.
