A place of infinite charm: Il Cannito. Il Cannito is located just a few kilometres from Paestum and the Cilento seaside.

The complex is made up of two old stone buildings that have been restored to their original splendour in strict compliance with the regulations protecting the natural beauty spots of southern Italy.

The area around Il Cannito covers over thirty seven acres of the Capaccio (Salerno) hilltop area facing the temples of Paestum, within a context renowned for its historical importance and extraordinary archaeological sites. Generally mild weather and typical flora and fauna make for a unique, natural environment whilst contemporary design elements have been tastefully combined with local materials.

Skillfully restored ancient beam outline the ceilings, spacious windows in public areas and bedrooms create a suggestive link between interior and exterior. There are virtually no barriers of light and nature. Wonderful. And despite this homage to nature and tradition, the comfort required by modern lifestyles has not been sacrificed. All rooms are equipped with high tech amenities such as floor heating, LCD TVs and WIFI. Bathrooms are, in effect, mini wellness areas where guests can relax in soothing hydro-massage and hydro-sonic bathtubs.

The terraces and private or communal sun decks offer superb vistas. Guests can also enjoy the choice of delicious local dishes in the elegantly decorated dining area. In the summer, the terrace is turned into an exclusive restaurant where guests can enjoy breathtaking views of Capri, as experience they are not likely to forget.
