Located some four kilometres from the charming town of Uzès (between Nimes and Avignon), this silky 17^th century bed and breakfast takes in the fragrances, views and hospitality of the Languedoc region.

In short, this is our sort of place. With only four rooms and one mezzanine suite exclusivity and privacy is guaranteed, but it also has that French “je ne sais quoi” when it comes to elegance and decoration. The aromas of lavender, the little nooks and crannies, the secluded garden, great views of the vineyards

We mentioned at the start that it originated from 17^th century but this particular jewel was actually built on the vestiges of a 15^th century dwelling - and this history seeps through.

Accommodation:

Pink room (1st floor): Double room bed (160 x 200) with romantic tester. Fine antique, pure and contemporary decoration with a black parquet, pink purple walls and white linen fabrics. Large window with small panes offering a views on covered walkway above the courtyard. Bathroom (shower) and wc (separate).

Green Room (2nd floor): large double antique wooden bed (180 x 200), lots of surprising obects and curiosities. Warm sunlight from a small window to the west. Small washboard hidden in a cupboard and shared bathrooms (shower 6 WC) with another room on the first floor.

Blue room (Entresol - Ground/1st floor): Twin room (190 x 90 cm) with high walls painted in blue (with a delicate oltremare pigment). A black marble fireplace and some dark elements and furnitures contrast with the classicism of mouldings and white stuccos. A high window offers a view of the courtyard and the north wing of the house. Shared bathroom (showe & wc) with another room on the 1st floor.

Loft suite (2nd floor): Suite under the roof with a large living room, bedroom (160 x 200 cm) and bathroom & wc. Fine antique and objets d'arts witha touch of the contemporary. Nice views overlooking the roofs of the village.

North Wing Suite (1st & 2nd floor): Duplex suite with large living room and monumental fireplace, wooden ceiling "à la française" mullioned windows, access to 2nd floor by way of a round staircase. Bedroom (double bed 160 x 200 cm) and bathroom & wc. Possibility to add cotsa in the living room.

What a great place !

We stayed a couple of night in this beautiful place which is really amazing. Attention has been paid to details, so you get pleasure for all senses, classical music marries beautifully with the atmosphere of this old castle. Odors of fresh flowers or subtile ensens all the way through. Delicious continental breakfast where the home made jam will take you in a middle of a strawberry field... Well done, we will come back !
