Nowhere is this more evident than in Bruges, the jewel in the crown, the "Venice of the north", and one of the most stunning cities in the world. We simply love Bruges, for its medieval historical centre, for its canals, art and atmosphere.

This UNESCO World Heritage city is a tour de force, in our opinion, and should never be left out on any grand tour of Europe’s great cities. There are too many landmarks to mention here but special note goes to the Church of our Lady which boasts the highest brick tower in the world at just under 123 metres.

Oh and by the way, the beer is pretty good too!

Of course, many others think like us too, so it does get a bit overrun with tourist sometimes. It is after, all the most visited attraction in Belgium, but even so it does seem to rise above this all it and serenely continues its life as it has done for hundreds of years in perfectly preserved time bubble.
